Walter Elisha Griggs

Walter Elisha Griggs, 51, of Grape Creek, TX, met his Savior face to face on Sunday, November 7, 2021. Visitation will be all day Friday, November 12, with family present from 5 until 7 pm, at Love Funeral Home in Eldorado. His Celebration of Life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 13 in the Eldorado High School gymnasium, with burial to follow in the Eldorado Cemetery. Walt was born February 4, 1970 in Elizabeth City, North Carolina to Brantley Elton Griggs, Jr. and Jessie Ramona Twiford. He married Lorna Robinson in Manns Harbor, North Carolina in July 1990. Walt pastored Agape Assembly of God in Eldorado, Texas from 1993-2005 and Grape Creek Family Fellowship in Grape Creek, Texas from 2005 until his death. He served the San Angelo Section of the Assemblies of God faithfully for many years as youth representative, committeeman, secretary/treasurer, and presbyter, and spent the last two years of his life serving the North Texas District Council of the Assemblies of God as Regional Executive Presbyter for the West Region. He was preceded in death by his father and a daughter, Talitha. He is survived by his wife, Lorna, three children, Torey, Jonah, and Lainey; mother, Ramona; two brothers, Woody and Ray; and a sister, Patty. He also leaves behind a host of extended family and an abundance of friends. A memorial service will also be held in Manns Harbor, NC at a later date.
