Tomas M. Santos

Sonora- On Tuesday February 22, 2023, Tomas Monrreal Santos, loving son, brother, uncle and friend to many, went to live with the Lord at the age of 85. Tomas was born on January 7, 1938 in Sonora, Texas to Rodrigo and Victoria M. Santos. After graduating High School in 1958, Tomas worked at the Wool and Mohair for 2 years and then enlisted in the Army from 1960 to 1962 as a Spec 4. After Tomas completed his enlistment in the Army he worked in construction for many years. Tomas was preceded in death by his parents, Rodrigo and Victoria M. Santos and sisters, Josephina Santos and Victoria Santos. He is survived by his brother Rodrigo Santos and his sisters, Maria Santos, Estella Lumbreras and Rosa Gutierrez and husband Willie. Beloved nieces and nephews Elsa, Becky, Tommy, Rick and Sarah. A funeral service will be held Thursday, February 23, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ann's Catholic Church followed by a graveside service at Sonora Cemetery. The Family of Tomas Santos would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Lillian Hudspeth Memorial Hospital and Schleicher County Nursing Home for your compassion and kindness during Tomas’ stay at both facilities.
