Timothy Wayne Cole

Timothy (Tim) Cole of Sonora, Texas passed away at home on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at the age of 70. He was born on January 13, 1953, in Williston, ND. Tim’s father worked in the oil field, so his family moved often. After moving to Sonora in 1962, his father settled the family while he would follow the crew. Tim was very proud to have been on Sonora High School’s state championship football team in the late 60’s and early 70’s. He also loved hunting and cooking for the Sutton County Game Dinner Association. Ask him about guns or grilling and you had his attention. He married Kim Putman in January 1975. They had one daughter, Cassi Cole. He is preceded in death by his parents, Vel and Calvin Cole and sister Wanda Brummett. Tim is survived by his wife Kim, daughter Cassi and spouse Kelcey; sister- and brother-in-law Bonnie and Michael Savage; nephews Sam Savage and Steven Brummett. Funeral Services will be held Monday, August 28, 2023, at 11am at Love Funeral Home Chapel in Sonora, followed by interment in Sonora Cemetery.
