Petra Garza Gonzales Gonzalez September 9, 1916- January 13, 2021 Petra Garza Gonzales Gonzalez of Sonora . TX. went home to be with the Lord and her beloved family member on January 13, 2021 at the age of 104 years. Petra passed away peacefully in the presence of her beloved family. She was born and raised in Sonora to Eligio Martinez Gonzales and Paula Garza Gonzales on September 9, 1916. She was the oldest of eight children. Petra was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Telesforo Gonzalez, Sr., her beloved brothers and sisters whom she loved dearly: Genaro, Alejandro, Eugenio, Luciano Gonzalez, sisters Francisca and Esperanza Gonzales, and Engracia Hernandez. She is survived by her three loving children; Francisca G. Avila of San Jose, CA., Maria Munson of Southlake, TX., and son Telesforo Gonzalez, Jr. of Ft. Worth, TX. ; eleven grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and ten great great grandchildren, who were the love of her life. Petra was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church choir, prayer groups, and church organizations. She was a devoted housewife. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ann's Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Sonora Cemetery. Family members would like to thank the Intrepid Home Health staff, Alvis Johnson Hospice, and Lillian M. Hudspeth staff for the care given to her during her final days.
