Myrl Glyn Sudduth – 89 Years old was born March 27, 1936 and left this earth on September 26, 2025. He was born in San Angleo, Texas to Vernal Grady and Thelma Etheredge Sudduth who preceded him in death. He is survived by his three children: Lori Lin Stone and her husband Todd; Amy Allison Hathaway and her husband Kent; Grady Glyn Sudduth and his wife Delila; as well as 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Myrl attended and graduated from Eldorado High School in 1954. He then attended San Angelo College where he graduated in 1956. His studies continued at Texas Tech University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and graduated in 1959.
After college, Myrl started his first job at West Texas Utilities as a Distribution Superintendent. He also served as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Texas Army National Guard for 7 years and was a Kiwanis Club member and President. Myrl went on to establish Sudduth Surveying in San Angelo in 1980. He had a long and successful career and was even honored in 2018 by the Governor of Texas and the Texas Board of Professional Engineers for being a “Professional Engineer For Over 50 Years”.
Myrl and Charleen were both raised in Eldorado and have known each other all their lives. They began dating around Christmas of 1954 and dated for 5 years before they married on April 22, 1960. Charleen was the love of Myrl’s life. They were married for 63 years and were an example of love and devotion to all that knew them. They were inseparable. Myrl was a loyal husband, loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. His family was and is his proudest legacy.
