In Loving Memory of Michael Wayne Dillard It is with a heavy heart that we announce the news of Michael Wayne Dillard's passing on January 25th, 2024, at the age of 69. Born on May 24, 1954, in Lubbock, Texas, Mike was the beloved son of Byerl and Mona Dillard, and loyal brother to Monte and Suzy. Mike was a loving and devout husband to Janey for 47 years, and a dedicated father to his sons, Chance and Dustin. Throughout his life, Mike exemplified love, kindness, and commitment to his family, community, and friends. A dedicated and passionate businessman in dirt construction for multiple decades, Mike's professional endeavors were a true reflection of his tenacity and work ethic, his experience and reputation have left an enduring mark on the industry. His impact was profound, leaving lasting impressions on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Mike is preceded in death by his mother and father. He is survived by his loving wife Janey; son Dustin (Jeremy); son Chance (Dani) and grandchildren Daylin, Castyn, Wayden; brother Monte (Sam); sister Suzy (Randy); nephew Patton (Lauren) and daughter Riley. A service to celebrate Mike's remarkable life will be held on Monday, January 29th, 2024, at 10:00 a.m at the First Baptist Church of Sonora. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests contributions to First Baptist Church of Sonora, or a charity of your choice. The family would also like to send special thanks for the love and support from Hunter Hohensee and the hospice team. Mike will be missed, may he rest in eternal peace, and may everyone find comfort in the cherished memories they shared.
