Juan Guerra

SONORA, TEXAS. Juan E. Guerra passed away peacefully in San Antonio, Texas, on January 12, 2024, surrounded by his family., at the age of 90. He was born in Bastrop, Texas on March 30, 1933. Juan worked as a ranch hand for many years. On March 24, 1952, he married his wife, Elida Gomez Guerra, who preceded him in death in 2018. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed making hot sauce and pan de campo for his loved ones. He most enjoyed scratching lotto tickets in front of a classic cowboy movie, with a dip of Skoal in his cheek. He will be missed tremendously. Juan is also preceded in death by his parents, Manuel & Santos Guerra; and four brothers and two sisters. He is survived by sisters, Amelia Ramos and Noelia Gonzales (Jaime). Juan is loved and will be missed by his daughters, Maria Vigil (Norman), Isabel Guerra, Martha Perez (Marcos "Beaver"), Joann Hernandez (George), Laurie Garza (Ruben) and son, David Guerra (Michelle); 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; Angie and Jesse Flores; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
