John Randall O'Harrow

November 21, 1953 — February 2, 2018

John Randall O'Harrow was born to Erma Kingery and R.P. "Pat" O'Harrow on November 21, 1953 in Sonora, TX. John Randall passed to heaven on February 2nd surrounded by his family at the home of his sister, Carolyn Mercer and her husband Jimmy Mercer. Randall was raised by his father, Pat O'Harrow, and grandparents Cecil and Van P. O'Harrow in Eldorado and attended Eldorado schools. Randall joined the Navy in 1970 and served on the USS Ranger in the Gulf of Tonkin during the Vietnam War. He was a recon jet mechanic, working on the RA5C Vigilante. After leaving the Navy, Randall used his mechanical skills for various jobs. He was the auto mechanic manager at Sears in San Angelo and later at Western Auto in Caldwell. He also spent time working in the oilfields and on the docks in Galveston. His last employment was for the Veterans Hospital in Temple, TX. Randall is survived by his father Pat O'Harrow: sister Carolyn Mercer and husband Jim; his nephew Andrew Mercer and wife Elinore; his niece Rachel Justice and husband Jeff; his great nephews Will Justice and Patrick Mercer; great nieces Riley Justice and Ruby Mercer and other cousins and an aunt, Eve Logsdon of Clearwater, Florida. We take comfort knowing Randall is a believer in Christ and is now reunited with his beloved grandparents in Heaven. We will all reunite in Heaven in God's perfect timing. A memorial service will be held at Eldorado Cemetery Chapel on Monday, February 5th at 2:00p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the Veterans Hospital of Temple, TX.
