Jimmy W. Gilstrap

Jimmy W. (Hymie) Gilstrap passed away on April 7, 2021. Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 12:00p.m. in Eldorado Cemetery.Visitation will be Friday, April 16, 2021 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Love Funeral Home. He was born Feb. 1, 1947 in San Saba, Tx. to Jake and Rosalie Gilstrap. On Jan. 1972 he married Carolyn Schawartz in Goldwaithe, Tx. Jimmy worked for the Highway Department while in Goldwaithe, Tx. Jimmy moved his family to Eldorado, Tx. and while there he worked on many ranches and broke horses. He went to Wharton College. Jimmy is survived by one daughter, Christy Crisp and husband Robbie of Richland Springs, one grandson Seth Crisp and wife Kendall of Tennyson, Tx., one great granddaughter Hattie Crisp, and numerous nephews and cousins. Jimmy is preceded in death by his mother Rosalie Gilstrap, sister Kathey Bates, son Bodie Gilstrap, and wife Carolyn Gilstrap. Donations may be made to a charity of choice.
