Herbert Lawson Jones

Herb Jones of Sonora, Texas, passed away suddenly at his home March 3, 2017. Herb was born in Junction, Texas to Froggie and Gene Jones on May 28, 1946. He graduated from Junction High School. Survivors include his wife Jo Ann Jones, son Duane Jones of Sonora, Texas, two granddaughters Kaitlyn and Kera Jones of Del Rio, Texas; one brother Rusty Jones, wife, Carolyine and family of Uvalde, Texas. Herb was preceded in death by one son Darrell “Tooter” Jones. The family suggests memorials be made to West Texas Boys Ranch or The Old Glory Fund at Sonora Bank. A memorial service will be held at the Presbyterian Church of the Good Shepherd in Sonora, Texas, at 11:00 a.m, Tuesday, March 7, 2017.
