Francisco L Chavez

Francisco Luna Chavez, entered into eternal life May 21, 2024 at the age of 88 beautiful years that our Lord blessed him with. Francisco known as Frank or Kiko Chavez was born August 5, 1935 in Jimenez Coahuila, Mexico to Victor Chavez and Cecilia Luna Chavez. Kiko grew up in Jimenez Coahuila and at an early age came to the United States to work. Working in the state of Oregon, California and other states. Kiko came to Texas in the 50's. He met and married the love of his life Santiaga (Chagita) Rivero Garcia. They traveled together while Kiko worked for Strain Brother Inc. as a heavy equipment operator building highways. Working their way from Plainview, TX to Rocksprings, TX they decided to stay in Sonora, Texas. While Frank/Kiko worked for the City of Sonora for many years, they were blessed with 3 children, Oscar G. Chavez from Sonora, TX, Alfredo (Freddie) G. Chavez and wife Imelda Chavez Chavez from San Angelo, TX, Christian Chavez Cavaness and husband Roy from Robert Lee, TX. Kiko raised his family in Sonora, enjoyed having and making many friends. Moving his family to San Angelo, TX in 1970. Frank worked for Terrell Manufacturing for many years until he retried. Moving back to Sonora, he enjoyed planting his garden growing different chili peppers, big red tomatoes, green tomatios, callabasitas, peaches, water melons, cantaloupes, cucumbers, sugarcane and more. Frank enjoyed all his kids and grandkids most of all his great grand kids. Loving the one and only named after him "Francisco Chavez". He was preceded in death by his parents Victor Chavez and Cecilia L. Chavez and his loving wife Santiaga G. Chavez, bother Victoriano Chavez, sister Francisca Chavez Mendez and two great grandchildren Island Marie Chavez and Jerimiah Chavez. His is survived by his 2 sons and his daughter and 14 grandchildren: Brenda Chavez, Oscar Chavez, Michael Chavez, Katimichelle Chavez, Mark Chavez, Alfredo Chavez, Victor Chavez, Aimee Chavez Vazquez, Farrah Garcia, Jessie Garcia, Crystal Meeks, Prisila Ponciano, Marcus Ponciano. Frank was also blessed with great grand children: Sylver Marie Galvan, Alfredo Naveah Chavez, Brisa Chavez, Victor Aryel Chavez, Joey Breeden, Joel Chavez, Micaela Chavez, Ricardo Chavez, Abraham Chavez, Francisco Chavez, Gabriel Chavez, Axel Luna, Azariah Chavez, Leah Ponciano, Julissa Soto, Jaden Frank Ponciano, Jessie Garcia Jr., Juan Garcia, Josh Garcia, Marcus Ponciano III. Marques Ponciano, Marcel Ponciano, Mordecai Ponciano, Laylah Salgado, Penelope Salgado, Evelyn Salgado.
