Eriberto "Bune" Bernal

Eriberto “Bune” Bernal, Jr., age 64 of Sonora, TX passed away August 29, 2021. Bune loved to cook and always played with recipes. Cooking was his way of showing his love for his friends and family members. He also loved to spend time with his rescue dog Sasparilla. He also loved to try his recipes out on Sas. Many people of Sonora will remember him for his time spent cooking at Beto’s Restaurant when it was open. Bune was proceeded in death by both of his parents, Eriberto “Beto” Bernal and Margaret Bernal, his sister Sylvia Bernal, half sister Terri Bernal, and grandparents and numerous family members. He is survived by his brother David Bernal of Sonora, niece Erica Strickland, her husband Greg and great niece Zoe of Granbury. He is also survived by his daughter Allison Bernal of Arizona. Lastly, he is survived by his beloved rescue, Sasparilla and many friends in the community. There will be a graveside service on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Sonora Cemetery under the direction of Love Funeral Home with services performed by St. Ann Catholic Church.
