Elizabeth Jeanette Blackmon

Elizabeth Jeanette Blackmon, 75, of Eldorado, Texas went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 12, 2023. Son, Chad Blackmon, daughter in law, Amy, and the wonderful staff of the Schleicher County Nursing Home were all by her side. Jeanette, as she was called, was born in Marion, South Carolina on May 18, 1948, to Joseph and Lizzie Blackmon. She lived most of her life in Dillon, South Carolina, before moving to Eldorado in 2011. Jeanette spent the last 10 years of her life cared for at the Schleicher County Nursing Home. The family will forever be grateful for the loving care she was provided. Jeanette is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Lizzie, brothers, Larry Alton and James Ray Blackmon, sister, Virgie Clark, and great- nephew Christion Hood, whom was very near and dear to her heart. Jeanette is survived by her only son, Chad Blackmon, his wife Amy, and their three children Jaydyn Doran, Jordan Blackmon, and Lexi Blackmon all of Eldorado, TX. Sisters, Patricia Smith and Vicky Blackmon of Oak Grove, SC, Charlotte Hubbard (Timmy) of Dillon, SC and numerous nieces and nephews. Viewing is scheduled, Sunday, October 15, 2023 from 1:00-4:00PM at Love Funeral Home in Eldorado, Texas. A Graveside service is scheduled for Monday, October 16, 2023, at 2:00PM at the Schleicher County Cemetery.
