Barbara Mayhew Urbanski

Barbara Mayhew Urbanski passed away in Eldorado, Texas on April 12, 2017, at the age of 80. Barbara was born on January 11, 1937 in Callahan County, Texas, one of six children of Frank and Ruby Mayhew. The longtime resident of Sonora spent many years working for the Sonora ISD as an aide, work that she truly enjoyed. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sisters Janell Russell and Betty Graves. A beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, she is survived by her children: DeVonna Mitchell and husband, Clark of Kountz, Beverly Osborn and husband, Mark of Weatherford, Pattie Luckie of Arlington, Steven McDonald and wife, Vilma of Ft. Worth, David McDonald and wife , Amie of Hurst, and Tara Urbanski of Arlington; siblings Mack and Jean Mayhew of Sonora, Lennie and Don Woodford of Montgomery, and Francis and Milton Jones of Anson; 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and their families; and a host of loving friends. Graveside services are at 1:00p.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2017 in Sonora Cemetery with Funeral services provided by Love Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations in Barbara's name be made to a charity of your choice. The family would like to thank the staff of Schleicher County Nursing Home, for the loving care they provided for our mother in the last years of her life.
